The Crafts

1. Recording

   Tracking a performance properly - the part of a record that cannot be fixed later. Both rooms are set up for it, and an engineer runs the session at no extra charge, so the hourly rate on the booking desk is the whole cost of the room and the person in it.

2. Music production

   Building the record rather than only capturing it - arrangement, parts, sounds and the decisions that turn an idea into a finished song. You can start a record here from the first take, or bring something already underway and carry it the rest of the way.

3. Vocal recording

   A vocal is the part of a record listeners hear first and forgive least, so it is worth its own session. Book the room by the hour like any other session.

4. Mixing

   Where the balance, the space and the weight of a record are set. Bring a finished session to mix even if none of it was recorded here - a mix does not require the tracking to have happened in this building.

5. Mastering

   The last stage before a record is released - the final level, tone and consistency across a single or a whole body of work, prepared for the platforms it is going out on.

Sessions are payable at the studio unless something else is agreed first.
